As a key member of our Code Compliance team, you’ll play a hands-on role in moving high-profile projects forward - ensuring filings, permits, and approvals are completed accurately, efficiently, and with a strong customer focus. If you thrive on navigating city agency processes, solving regulatory challenges, and being part of a collaborative, fast-paced team, we’d love to meet you.

Note that CodeGreen works on a hybrid schedule, so only candidates who can commit to regular presence in our NYC office will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform end to end services in support of clients and internal code consultants including but not limited to Application Approvals, Permit Issuance, Signoffs, Violations, and Application Tracking
  • Prepare and submit proposals for assigned work, monitor project budgets and issue associated Change Orders as required.
  • Submit filings through appropriate city agencies including but not limited to Department of Buildings (DOB), Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC), Fire Department (FDNY), Department of Transportation (DOT), etc.
  • Complete and manage standard Alternation Filings (ALT-2)
  • Work closely with internal teams and clients to develop project schedules and milestones
  • Maintain ongoing correspondence and communication with Clients, Design Consultants, Construction Managers, etc. to keep projects moving forward and to identify and eliminate roadblocks as needed
  • Perform site visits, field visits, and in-person meetings as required by individual clients and projects
  • Participate in client presentations, pitch meetings, and other functions as required

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and high level of professionalism with both clients and internal team (required)
  • Strong organization skills, a high level of attention-to-detail, and the ability to efficiently prioritize multiple tasks (required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Project (required)
  • Thorough knowledge of permit application processes including submitting, filing, and turnaround times, certificates of occupancy and inspections of occupancy (preferred)
  • Familiarity with city filing platforms such as DOB Now, BIS, E-filing, Inspection Ready, etc. (preferred)
  • Experience with application approval timing and strategizing on submissions (preferred)
  • General knowledge of construction plans (preferred)
